Big fish, is one of the great works of Tim Burton film that I recommend to anyone who wants a good time watching television. This film is a series of stories, extraordinary events, real but exaggerated, even surrealist, which are counted by Edward Bloom, the protagonist, a character beloved by all who know him.
These stories told by Edward Bloom is mainly heard by his son, who had grown up, confesses not believe any of the stories he tells his father. The main character, Edward, and more sick, so William Bloom, your child should return home with his wife to be with his father.
The film begins with Edward telling the story of his life, starting from birth, not common. At age 8, when he read an encyclopedia, he noticed an article and realized that if a big fish lived in a little pond, this could not grow. Thus later, when a young adult realizes that, as in that article that read as a child, needed to grow out of his small town and explore and see the world. Then he begins his long journey. His journey has characters as curious as a giant, a werewolf, or witch Korean twins.
At Big Fish we can find many parallels with the Odyssey, beginning with the personality of the two protagonists, both are smart, intelligent and courageous travelers. part
Big Fish lack of communication between father and son in the Odyssey also begins with Telemachus, Odysseus's son who seeks information from his father.

-Spectrum City and the descent into hell in the Odyssey
-encounter with the Witch and the arrival on the island of Circe,
-the love of Edward and Penelope,
