Mulan Road to Freedom

Road to Freedom is a film that blends adventure film a historical drama based on true events, set in the last years of World War II (1940-1945) and the peak years of communism.
This film is about a group of soldiers imprisoned in a Soviet gulag in the Siberian steppe, for a time after enduring the harsh living conditions of the "field" decide to start an escape plan with seeking escape the area under Soviet control and come to Poland.
After successfully building to escape a snowstorm initial happiness fades away to be a face with the reality, only around stretching miles and miles of desert plains, rugged mountains and other obstacles that try to prevent a return to home this group of soldiers.

This film shows some similarities with Homer's Odyssey as the structure that presents each story in the Odyssey is shown as a central theme of the work the existence of an objective to be achieved and the possibility of wisdom and experience during the trip, in this case the return to Ithaca and in the film "Road to Freedom" the group's aim is to avoid land controlled by communism and reunited with their loved ones, living experiences during the trip are the instinct of survival, tracking, and geographic knowledge and the determination not to give up in difficult times and stay the course.

also
There are some parallels in the psychological traits of the characters, both Odysseus and his companions knew how difficult it would be to come to Ithaca but mostly kept intact their hopes of return as in the film which I present, in which all runaway group members suffer untold hardship and must overcome the adversities that they face (some characters do not bear the difficulties and perish on the way men like Ulysses). It is a story of overcoming, struggle for life and that in many situations the escapees tape can only survive if they keep the desire to strive to live.

The film reminds us that sometimes lie is easier to die than continue living. What makes us reflect on the need to strive until our last breath to be eligible for improvement.

Another similarity is that the Odyssey begins at the end of a war situation and catastrophic. Where after the war, Troy has been devastated and those who fought in that war, wished to return to their homes. Along the combatants in World War II ยบ, after fighting on the fronts and anticipating the end of the conflict with the Nazi defeat, wanted to escape from his confinement in the gulag and return to their homes.

Finally if you are interested in seeing this movie I recommend you not to lose detail montage of landscapes as diverse as the Gobi desert, the Himalayas, frozen landscapes of the Siberian steppe, Tibet etc ....

Here I leave the trailer for the film
